Weddings can be stressful enough without a bride hearing just days before the wedding that rain threatens to washout the beautiful outdoor ceremony and garden photos that have been planned for years. Rest assured, Hire an Umbrella will give you peace of mind and a good night’s sleep whatever the weather brings!

Our umbrella hire business was born out of a very frustrating couple of weeks prior to a wedding in sure-to-be-raining Melbourne. After calling every hire company and searching every department store, the only option was to buy white wedding umbrellas, for $50 each, which were unlikely ever to be used again. But on that particular day the rain held off and those umbrellas were soon on offer to other brides.

Since then we've grown and now offer locations across Australia: Scarborough in Brisbane, Lewisham in Sydney and Yallambie in Melbourne.

We also work closely with a number of courier companies to offer same day and overnight services for those are short on time or not local to our locations.

 Whether you want to protect the bride and her guests or cover corporate delegates, you can select umbrellas to suit your occasion from our wide range of styles and colours. With options including white wedding umbrellas, red frilly umbrellas and clear bubble umbrellas, we've got something to compliment all situations.

How does umbrella hire work?


It’s easy!

Step 1:  Send an enquiry detailing the styles and  the quantities you want and the date of your event. We will  get back to you to let you know if we are able to supply your needs.(Some weekends are very popular, so get in early.)

Step 2: Confirm your order with us. We accept credit cards and bank transfers. For orders of more than 25 umbrellas, you don’t need to pay the full amount but may place a 25% non-refundable deposit to guarantee the availability of your selected umbrellas. See offers for more information.

Step 3: On the agreed date of your hire either pick up your umbrellas or receive your delivery via courier service.

Step 4: After use, clean umbrellas and let them dry (if necessary), then fold back into the bag or tube they came in. Pack according to instructions and return via the method organised  when making the booking.


How long is the umbrella hire period?

Your umbrellas will be available on or before the Thursday of the weekend of your hire and must be returned to us on the Monday of your hire – five days in total.

For example, if your umbrella hire is for Saturday, June 9th, your umbrellas are available for pick up , or will be delivered by courier, from 9am Thursday June 7th. Your order must be must be returned to us by 1pm Monday June 11th, or ready for courier collection Monday morning.


Are the umbrellas in good condition?

Yes! Our umbrellas are kept in the highest quality condition. We guarantee your satisfaction and if you are not happy, let us know within 12 hours of receiving the umbrellas.

 

Can I buy umbrellas from hire-an-umbrella.com.au?

Yes! All umbrellas for sale are new and have not been hired. Check our umbrellas page for more details.

 

Are other umbrella hire packages available?

Contact us with the details of the umbrellas you would like to hire and we will organise a package for you!

 

Do you hire outside of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth?

We do!  We do utilise a number of courier companies where overnight delivery is required, but please don't leave it until the last minute as it might take more than one night to get to you.
